2022 EVENTS

This premier cycling event will challenge riders to complete a 1,000 kilometre course in 7 days while using their personal and professional networks to raise significant funds for children's charities.

Riders will share the opportunity to maximise their fundraising impact, build relationships, and experience immense satisfaction at what is accomplished both on and off the bike.

The tropical and remarkable region of Far North Queensland will provide a sensational backdrop for the 2022 Melbourne 7 Day Challenge. The peloton is set to experience spectacular views and demanding changes in elevation as they complete a return tour from Cairns, through to the World Heritage-listed Cape Tribulation, to support our charity partners.

This is a fully supported event with all of your needs catered for - just focus on fundraising and the ride, and we will take care of the rest!

FUNDRAISING TARGET: $1,000,000

COURSE

The 2022 Melbourne 7 Day Challenge will start in the tropical hub of Cairns. Cairns suburbia will transition into vibrant rainforest for the peloton on Day 1 on their prologue, taking in the gorgeous Crystal Cascades. On Day 2, the bunch will cycle through the Gadgarra National Park onto banana and sugar cane country of Innisfail.

Then it is onto the Tinaroo on Day 3, travelling through many charming townships and farming communities. From here, it is a loop of the scenic and undulating Tablelands with views for days on Day 4.

Day 5 will deliver diverse and dramatic landscapes through world heritage listed rainforest as the peloton cycles through to the breathtaking Cape Tribulation. Then, on Day 6, the bunch will continue moving south, hugging the stunning coastline, to arrive at the lush seaside town of Port Douglas. Spectacular views are the reward on Day 7 as the peloton push through the final kilometres to return to Cairns.
