Aiming to raise $10K = v. audacious goal
Seems I'm a woman who keeps her word!
Last year, after 2 days riding in the pouring rain, I committed to this year's Chain Reaction Women's 300 Charity Bike ride. Don't think I was intoxicated when I make this public announcement. Might have been a little bit.
So, I'm back in training mode to ensure I don't die whilst riding 350 kilometres over 3 days from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast (and back) this October to raise funds for kids in need.
This year I'd like to personally raise $10,000. Big goal - but I'm all about dreaming big.
Money goes to:
AEIOU Foundation providing life-changing early intervention for children with Autism. AEIOU will direct funds allocated from the event to a refurbisment and fit out of its Toowoomba centre, enabling more children in the region access to a safe, secure and modern facility for therapy and care, including a new classroom and an upgraded playground and sensory garden.
Mater Foundation who will use the money to fund an in-hospital shuttle which safely and easily transports critically ill babies to theatre, considerably reducing the risk of serious clinical problems.
Please support my efforts on the bike with a donation and be part of changing the lives of kids in need!
