I wouldn’t call myself a true cyclist and I don’t enjoy the 4:30am alarm for training, or the 2 hour ascents with no relief! But, when I imagine parents dealing with an ill child, functioning without
sleep and unable to take a break, sometimes with no end in sight, 1,000km on a bike over the 'lumps of Victoria' cannot compare.
These families and charities have suffered in the harsh economic environment
generated by Covid. If, through grinding up hills in a head-to-toe sausage skin/lycra suit, I can help provide the resources that enable these charities to continue their life changing work, then I thought I should!
