Joshua Itzkowic

NSW Ride 2020

Help me support kids in need

Josh has been riding with Chain Reaction NSW for several years and is returning for his fourth Chain Reaction Challenge, having completed a gruelling 1,000km of riding through Far North Queensland in 2016, South Australia in 2018 and from Sydney to Melbourne in 2019.

Josh is proud to support the Chain Reaction Foundation in 2020 to raise funds for the Starlight Children's Foundation which helps sick kids forget they are sick by providing a place to play, laugh and spend time away from doctors and medical treatments at the Starlight Express Room.

Funds from the 2020 event will support the Starlight Express Room at Sydney Children’s Hospital, ensuring that children have a place to forget they are sick and enjoy the programs, games and entertainment provided by Captain Starlight.

With three young kids, he understands the fragile nature of children’s health. During the 20 week scan for his youngest daughter, Tahlia, a congenital abnormality was identified. Luckily she has been healthy since birth but there are many families who are less fortunate.

For Josh, participating in Chain Reaction has been both a rewarding and transformational experience. He is looking forward to this year’s ride in Tasmania, which includes spectactular climbs such as Cradle Mountain, whilst renewing old friendships, developing new friendships and helping contribute to an extremely worthy cause.
