Help me support kids in need
A surfer does not finish a surf and then sit at a café in their wetsuit. So why do lycra-clad cyclists? Such was my misguided view up until only recently. They say only a surfer knows the feeling, but I haven’t quite clocked 75 km/hr yet down the face of a wave.
My last serious stint in the saddle was during my 20s in London. And I haven’t raised money for a charity since boy scouts.
Embracing the physical and mental challenge of this year’s Chain Reaction ride (one of the hardest yet apparently) whilst raising money for two great children’s charities is both an honour and privilege. Looking at my own children, the values of embracing challenges in life and showing compassion for others less fortunate is something I wish to instil in them.
Help me support kids in need as I ride from Canberra to Melbourne.
