Help me support kids in need

I’m both excited and terrified by this challenge – a 1,000km ride through Tasmania. The prospect to accept this challenge to both raise a considerable amount of money for kids, and ride a bloody long way is terrifying. My motivation is both the physical and mental challenge of exceeding my longest ride to date of 105km 7 times in a row (!!) but most importantly on a personal level, to raise money for Chain Reaction to support charities like So They Can and BaptistCare Hope Street.

HopeStreet is a trusted place in some of the most vulnerable communities offering hope to people living with disadvantage and distress, particularly women and children living in fear and who have experienced domestic and family violence. HopeStreet connects with children and their families who are trying to overcome personal trials, providing a safe space to support them through domestic and family violence, cycles of poverty, and homelessness.

So They Can's partnership with Chain Reaction has helped improve overall health and access to basic human rights such as education, food, and clean water and bring an end to child marriage for many more girls in Kenya and Tanzania.

As a Director of the Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation, I see firsthand how far charities can stretch your donations. It’s important to understand how lucky we are and how your support won’t only help me pedal 1,000kms (did I mention Tasmania isn’t flat), it will help Hope Street and So They Can facilitate vital services and children's programs to help rebuild lives and allow children to move beyond the trauma they have experienced to reach their full potential.

Thank you in advance for your generous donation.
