James Morton

Queensland Ride 2018

Dr James Morton (AM) and his wife Louise established AEIOU Foundation following their own experience when their son Andrew was diagnosed with autism as a young child. Together, they have a vision to ensure more Queensland families can gain access to life-changing early intervention. James is an active Chairman of the Foundation and is committed to creating a national program which will provide a lifetime of opportunities for Australian children with an autism diagnosis. Professionally, James is an accredited specialist in Haematology & Oncology. He is Medical Director, Icon Cancer Care and Senior Specialist, Leukaemia and Bone Marrow Transplant Service, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He has long been involved with the Leukaemia Foundation QLD and instrumental in the development of the World’s Greatest Shave campaign. James continues to support a wide range of fundraising initiatives, and, as such, is looking forward to taking to the road to change young lives during Chain Reaction Foundation’s 2018 Queensland ride.

Your establishment of such a wonderful organisation is such a blessing to many families. As an employee, I get to see how each centre celebrates the children's successes, both big and small, and achieves extraordinary outcomes for children and their families. Working at AEIOU Foundation is truly an honour - thank you, and best wishes for the ride ahead.
