Why I’m Taking On the Chain Reaction Challenge

This year I’ve committed to something that will stretch me physically, mentally, and emotionally: the Chain Reaction Challenge, riding from Sydney to Melbourne over seven days to raise funds for children’s charities.

On the surface, it’s a 1,000km bike ride. But at its heart, Chain Reaction is about something far more important, giving seriously ill and vulnerable children a better chance at life.

I’ve always believed that if you’re fortunate enough to have good health, a strong support network, and the ability to push yourself physically, you should use that privilege for good. Chain Reaction brings together people willing to do just that — combining personal challenge with real, tangible impact.

Over the coming months, I’ll be sharing my training journey, the highs and lows, and the stories behind the charities we’re supporting. Most importantly, I’ll be fundraising because every dollar raised goes directly toward programs that support children and families when they need it most.

If you’re able to support this journey, whether by donating, sharing, or simply cheering from the sidelines, it genuinely means a lot.
