Raising money for kids in need is my motivation for taking part in the 2022 Chain Reaction Challenge. Our last challenge raised nearly $800,000!
Yes, the riding is good for me and enjoyable (although it’s getting harder each year). Yes, I enjoy the comradery and the coffee… but on this, my third Chain Reaction Challenge, I’m almost over the 4.30 am mornings and training four days (minimum) a week in preparation for the 1,000 kilometre journey. In the lead up to the challenge, with work and training commitments, there isn't the normal time for family and fun. And some days the body just says “are we there yet?”…
If you have the inclination to help out with a donation, I encourage you to take a look at the two incredible kid’s charities we are supporting this year – AEIOU Foundation and Traction – and you’ll get it. The kids they help deserve a break and I’m doing this ride to help those invaluable organisations support those kids (and their families).
With only two months to go the ride is fast approaching. Juggling many commitments means that my fundraising effort has started late and so I ask you to please dig deep to help me exceed my goal. The funds I raise for our charity partners is my motivation and my reward for being part of this incredible challenge.
