Edward is a Senior Asset Analyst in Real Estate Investments at Challenger Investment Partners where he provides analysis on real estate investment opportunities, assists in strategic decision making for Challenger’s real estate portfolio and is responsible for Challenger’s property research function.
Edward has never really stopped riding bikes since he was a kid and enjoys riding on the road and trails as well as on the local bike paths with his son, Henry. Edward likes to race his bike both on and off the road with marathon cross country mountain biking being a favourite. Edward counts the two most interesting places that he has ridden as being the Leadville 100 mile mountain bike race in Colorado USA in 2014, where he earnt the coveted gold belt buckle, and the Tour of South China Sea road stage race in 2003.
Edward’s favourite weekend ride is with his mates anywhere on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, usually through Akuna Bay or on the dirt for some laps of Manly Dam. When Edward is not at work or riding his bike he enjoys spending time with Henry and his wife, Camilla, this usually involves doing something outdoors such as swimming, going to the beach or snow skiing.
2017 will be Edward’s second Chain Reaction event and he is looking forward to the challenge of riding New Zealand in support of Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and Freedom Wheels. Edward believes strongly in the work done by both charities, particularly TAD’s Freedom Wheels program, which provides custom bikes that enable children with disabilities to ride a bike when it was never thought possible. Many of these children cannot walk but they can ride.
