Ready to Roll
The time has arrived - this friday we will set off to ride 360+km over three days in the name of helping kids in need.
Thank you to all of the wonderfully generouse people that have donated. I have been blown away by the support shown from family, friends and collegues!
We will be celebrating on Sunday at the finish line and invite our supporters to come along and share the triumph.
If you would like to support me you can still donate at the link below.
Wow Wow Wow!!!!
The support I have recieved so far has been amazing! Thank you!!!
We held our team fundraising event last wk and the final figures look like as a team of 5 we have collectively raised $30 000 so far along with the addition of our corporate sponsors we have secured. I can't thank everyone who has shown their support so far. Our fundraising efforts will continue over the next 4 wks!!!
Yes 4 wks until the event!!! That means the training is ramping up...the bum and legs are tired and sore...constantly...the fitness is coming along....and hopefully it will continue to improve over the next little while!
Wk 3 already
The training weeks are slipping away. I have been so amazed by the support from my freinds, family and collegues! Thank you to all those sho have already donated! I would especially like to thank Glenn from Rohrig, where Chris works, who has offered a coporate sponsorship to our team.
The crew of cyclist are coming together really nicely and working on our skills to ride together as a peleton in October.
My riding legs are slowly coming back...still a long way to go before I feel I can take on the hinterland of the sunny coast but Im sure I'll get there!
Once again thank you to those who have already supported and those who are considering it be sure to check out the amazing work done by our charity partners AEIOU and Youth Advocacy Centre.
Training Day 1 Eve
Most of you will know it's been a long time since I was bike fit so while there was another lifetime when 360+ km would not have daunted me....it certainly does now. Training officiallly starts tomorrow and I have 10wks of work ahead of me to get myslef fit enough to complete the three days.
Even in the lead up of registration, social events, training rides, coffees, fundraising event planning, event breifing and searching for corporate sponsorship for the event I have been impressed by this amazing group of women joined with a common cause of getting as much dosh as possible for kids in need while having fun riding bikes!
I am looking forward to the next 10wks and the event in October!
Please give generously!
Help me support kids in need
I am riding 300 kilometres in 3 days from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast this October to raise funds for kids in need. Funds raised form this event will support the AEIOU Foundation for Children with Autism and 16 young children and their families attending the Sippy Downs Centre on the Sunshine Coast where there is a $10,000 funding gap per child. This centre provides valuable early intervention programs for kids with autism to allow them to enter mainstream school and actively participate in their communities.
Please support my efforts on the bike with a donation.
Thank you for helping me change the lives of kids in need!
