Dale Cliff

Dale is a partner in the Brisbane legal practice ClarkeKann.  For 23 years he has practiced predominantly in the area of insolvency including lecturing in the Masters courses of Brisbane Universities. 
An obsessive triathlete and marathon junkie Dale has represented Australia on 3 occasions as an age grouper in both Duathlon and Triathlon at far flung locations such as Nice France and Huntersville North Carolina! 
The highlight of his age group participation was qualification for the 2005 Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. 
The lowlight was November 2006, when preparing to run with Lance Armstrong in the New York Marathon, his health deteriorated dramatically and he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.   He has successfully defeated the disease through a blessing of good luck. 
In 2010 he returned to New York and ran his 26th marathon with the added bonus of running with Lance Armstrong on a quick loop around Central Park. 
Dale has now committed himself to a more balanced life with a strong desire to help those who are not as lucky as he.  As a father of 2 he enthusiastically committed to the cause of raising funds with the Chain Reaction ride of 2010 and has joined us again on the Qld edition of the 2011 ride as one of our ambassadors.  Just to make things a bit more challenging on the weekend before we start our ride he will be competing in the 2011 Ironman Australia in Port Macquarie.
